Title: Quality assessment in the design and engineering disciplines: A systematic framework
Year: 2010
Description: On request of the three Dutch technical universitities, the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences wrote an advisory report on how to adequately assess the quality of technical and constructing sciences. The report advocates for differention in the assessment of different fields. The report presents a method using two types of assessment criteria; scientific quality and societal relevance. The field-dependent fine tuning is based in the indicators that are used to determine whether research proposals, individuals or research groups meet the criteria of scientific quality and societal relevance.
